American, mid to late 19th century. An Empire style giltwood trumeau mirror, having a overhanging molded breakfront cornice with carved accent balls, supported on either side by foliated supports, with a blank frieze with a central theatre mask above an eglomise panel depicting a castle, weeping willow, and a ship, above a mirrored panel, flanked on either side by applied pilasters. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 48", width 26.126", depth 5.125".
