Gorham (American (Rhode Island), founded 1831), patented 1884 & 1885. A sterling asparagus fork in the "Imperial Chrysanthemum" pattern and designed by William C. Codman having a intricate handle decorated with leaves and buds leading to a blooming chrysanthemum at the shoulder along with a berry serving spoon in the "Chantilly" pattern having a trefoil bowl with light gilt wash. Both with script monograms on handle and Gorham hallmarks for last quarter 19th century . The 9" asparagus fork further marked "PAT. 95" , "STERLING" with approximate weight 4.27 troy ounces. The 8.75" berry spoon further marked 'PAT 1895 STERLING" with approximate weight 2.25 troy ounces.
