A silver "Winners" medal awarded to British tennis legend Fred Perry in 1930 for winning the Men's championship at The British Lawn Tennis Association Men's Inter-County Cup held in Middlesex County in England. The front of the medal features the words "The Lawn Tennis Association" around the outside, with "Men's Inter-County Cup" in the center. The back of the medal features the word "Winners" and is engraved "Middlesex/ F.J. Perry/ 1930." Perry is widely considered the greatest player in the history of lawn tennis and won the Men's Singles title at Wimbledon in 1934, 1935 and 1936. The medal has a weight of 18.8 grams and a diameter of 35 mm. The medal bears the maker's mark of Fattorini & Sons Ltd. and the hallmark of Birmingham 1930. Also included in the lot is a cut signature of Perry's in ink that is matted together with a black and white image of Perry and a 1935 "Sporting Events and Stars" cigarette photo-card of Perry.
