To a Mr. Quick, writing about his memories of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford, and players "back in the early days." Old folds, some ink smudging, show-through on verso, 8 1/4 x 11 in. "Dear Mr. Quick, Am pleased to hear from you the other day saw a picture of [Thomas] Edison and myself think it was a picture of Edison batting and I was doing the catching when at Fort Myers saw a lot of Edison and frequently he came to the ball Park called on Edison often. He always called me Mark instead of Mack. Mr. [Henry] Ford came only once to the Park when our club trained at Fort Myers Florida-was surprised how he told about some of the old players back in 1880 he knew something about the old players you must have seen our players back in the early days [Stuffy] McInnis, [Jack] Barry, [Frank] Baker, and [Eddie] Collins. You know the Boston Braves beat us in 1914 four straight games their pitches did it. [Bill] James was good that year as was [Dick] Rudolph and [Fred] Tyler-most of our players went to the Federal League the next year please remember me to Ms. Quick, Hope you have the best year you ever had in 1951 Sincerely Connie Mack"
