Chinese, early 19th century. Chinese red lacquer chinoiserie decorated chair in square form with Chang Chin lacquer work, having designs of flowers, fruits, figures, landscape and meander scroll to a red ground, a shaped crest, back curved stiles and splat, shaped open arms, a flat seat shaped seat rail, all decorated and raised on straight legs with box stretchers. Height 36", width 21.5" (arm to arm), seat depth 15.75", seat height 19".
