MOVADO REF. 44776 RETAILED BY TIFFANY TRIPLE DATE YELLOW GOLD GIVEN TO MILTON BERLE Movado, Suisse, case No. T249921, Ref. 44776. Made in the 1940's. Fine, 14K yellow gold wristwatch with triple-date calendar with a Tiffany gold-plated buckle. Two-body, solid, polished, stepped bezel, faceted lugs, snap-on case back with dedication inscription (To Milton Berle from Irvin Geist, October 29, 1944), corrector buttons on the band. Two-tone silver with luminous Arabic numerals, outer graduation for the days of the month in blue and outer seconds track, apertures for the days of the week and the months. Luminous blued steel baton hands. Rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating Breguet balance spring. Notes DIAM. 32 mm. THICKNESS 11 mm. The watch was given to MILTON BERLE (1908-2002) who was considered the first major television star known as "Uncle Miltie" and Mr Television. He was better known for his role on the Texaco Star Theatre and signed an unprecendented 30-year contract with NBC in 1951 for the Buick-Berle show. To be sold without reserve
