George IV Sterling Silver-gilt Claret Bottle Collar, London, 1829-30, John Bridge, maker, the central register raised on stylized strawberry leaves, engraved monogram "BC" topped with a crown to inner rim, dia. 3 3/4; together with a French .950 silver wine tastevin, maker's mark "EG" probably for Eugène Gille, with monogrammed thumbpiece, lg. 4 3/4 in., approx. 5.8 total troy oz. N.B. The monogram appears to be that of Baroness Angela Burdett-Coutts (1814-1906).
