Two-sided "Union House" Tavern Sign, New England or New York, mid-19th century, spreadwing eagle with shield and flag panoply within an oval lettered with "UNION HOUSE" with foliate spandrels housed in a molded frame with wrought iron brackets, the reverse showing a brown horse against a landscape within an oval lettered "UNION HOUSE" with banded spandrels, (later varnished surface), ht. 38 1/2, wd. 53 in.
