18th/19th century having a painted dial with Roman numeral hours flanked on each side by a pierce carved rampant lion and a mermaid figure, set in a pierce carved hooded bracket, with a two weight movement. Height 18 1/2 inches. Not running. Some areas of slightly bent metal and overpainted gilt. Repair to one mermaid's arm. Stable, sturdy condition with light damage to one corner of the bracket. With pendulum.
