Sold for:
$250

19th century of temple form, having a circular enameled dial with Roman numeral hours within spiral twist columns, raised on a stepped plinth base further supported by a rectangular plinth with rounded corners, inlaid throughout to show foliate scrolls, the movement marked Legrand Aine. Height 16 1/2 inches. Overall decent, stable condition. Works appear complete, with pendulum, key and bell. Clock takes a wind but doesn't seem to run. Clock attempts to strike on the hour and the half but hammer misses bell. Base formally with a dust dome. Base and clock case with fairly even finish, intact, but with some chipping to veneer.
