A group of letters from Lorenzo James, Montgomery Clift's partner, to Jack Larson and James Bridges. The first is a personal eight-page letter on five sheets of paper handwritten by Lorenzo James to Jack Larson and dated February 1, 1966, regarding James' mental state and Montgomery Clift, Larson's ex-partner and James' current partner; the letter has "destroy after reading will you please" written in red on the first page. The second is a three-page handwritten letter on two sheets of paper written to Bridges, dated February 1, 1966, discussing Clift's medical checkups and his "plight." The letter also has "destroy after reading please" in red on the first page. The third is a four-page letter handwritten on three pieces of blue notepaper from James to Larson; the envelope is postmarked June 28, 1966, a month before Clift's death. The fourth is a three-page handwritten letter from Doris to James, with an additional note from James (who signs off as Larry) to Larson stating that Larson should write to Doris. Together with a black and white photograph of Clift signed by the photographer and an accompanying letter from James in 1967, after Clift's death.
