Gorham (American, founded 1865) and Meriden Britannia Co. (American, 1895-1898), circa 1900-1930s. An interesting combination maker sterling silver ice bucket of tapering round form with folding shaped silver handle, monogrammed to front and handle "M". The silver body marked for Gorham with maker's mark beside "STERLING A137", the bottom plane marked to interior for Meriden Britannia with maker's mark over "STERLING / 562", and the handle simply marked "STERLING". Approximate height (handle raised) 9.625", height (handle lowered) 5.125", diameter at opening 5.375". Approximate weight 13 troy ounces.
