Continental, likely French, last quarter 19th century. A large Baroque style giltwood wall mirror, having pierced and crested top with a central shell surrounded by scrolling foliage, with a shaped serpentine-top acanthus leaf, berry, and egg frame with a beaded liner, the bottom corners accented with scrolled foliage. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 80", width 37", depth 4".
