Tiffany & Company (American (New York), founded 1837), circa 1854-1869. A sterling silver water pitcher in the Beekman pattern having a globular body issuing a tall narrow cylindrical neck joined by a looping handle, with chased Aesthetic Movement patterning to sides and neck along with bands of molded fret patterning. Underside marked "TIFFANY & CO. / 1653 / QUALITY / 925-1000 / 2125 / 550 BROADWAY" flanked by two Gothic style "M" letters. Approximate height 8.875", width over handle 8". Total approximate weight 34.2 troy ounces. Note: the maker's mark on this pitcher indicates production during the directorship of J. C. Moore & Son(c.1854-1869).
