English, mid to late 19th century. An ebonized Aesthetic Movement bow ended credenza, having a shaped top above a conforming frieze, marquetry inlaid floral designs and mounted with pressed gilt metal edging, over a central paneled cabinet door, with applied pressed gilt metal edging and line inlay, the center inset with a oval porcelain plaque, attributed to Sevres and hand painted with a turquoise blue border and a floral bouquet, the edge with a gilt metal mounted ribbon border with a bow, the stiles with gilt metal ormolu mounts, flanked on either side by a curved cabinet doors, each with line inlay edging and gilt metal key escutcheons, revealing shaped interior shelves, each with a line inlaid edge and taupe velvet lining, the whole resting on a shaped base with turned bun feet. The central interior cabinet is fitted with shelves and lined in rose pink velvet. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 42.25", width 58.25", depth 14.625.
