Topping Models Inc (American, 1950-1972) circa late 1950s. A metal zinc allow aircraft model "Republic Aviation F-105B Thunderchief (Thud)", scale 1/48 on chrome plated metal stand. labeled to the underside back "TOPPING MODELS 517 FIRST NATIONAL TOWER, AKRON, OHIO" and also signed over the label "G. Graff". Approximate height 8.25", width 17.75", depth 8.5". Note: Unlike Matthijs Verkuyl, Bill Topping produced only few aircraft models in metal. The most well-known is presumably the Fairchild-Hiller Corp., Republic Aviation Division F-105B Thunderchief. Only 2500 models were produced.
