A structured gown worn by Barbra Streisand at the 40th Academy Awards in 1968, where she presented the Best Original Song award to Sammy Davis Jr. on behalf of Leslie Bricusse for "Talk to the Animals" from Doctor Dolittle (20th Century Fox, 1967). The sleeveless gown has a plunging V neckline and is constructed of a mesh structure with black velvet bands embellished with iridescent glass in metal prongs over a nude underdress.
