A replica of the prop red pill from The Matrix (Warner Bros. , 1999). The red pill was used as a significant plot device in The Matrix. Morpheus, played by Laurence Fishburne, offers Reeves’ character Neo the choice of taking the blue pill, after which Neo would wake up in his bed, or taking the red pill, whereupon Neo would “stay in wonderland” to see “how deep the rabbit hole goes.” The pill comes from a person close to Reeves.
