A custom made mink stole worn by Jane Russell and gifted to her good friend and personal assistant of eight years. The fur is lined with chocolate silk and is embroidered with the signature of Jane Russell Waterfield. Russell was married to professional football player Robert Stanton "Bob" Waterfield from 1943 to 1968. Russell is seen in the same or similar stole. Accompanied by a collection of ephemera that includes a restaurant menu signed by Russell; a letter from Russell in reference to the World Adoption International Fund (WAIF) organization on personalized stationery; a letter to Russell from the national executive director of WAIF; two contact sheets with images of Russell; and a handwritten letter from Russell.
