Mahogany wood molding with an ogee curve frames the front door of this circa 1840-1850 Seth Thomas clock; clear glass panel to the top of the door protects the dial and hands while a second glass reverse painted panel underneath protects the pendulum; paper to inside of back mentioning "Plymouth Hollow, Conn." dates the piece to pre-1860 when Thomas died and the town was renamed after him; measures approximately 25-7/8" tall, 15-5/8" wide, and 4-3/8" deep; in fair overall condition with age appropriate wear; does not appear to be working.
