Pair of Chinese rosewood carved His & Hers armchairs, with elaborately carved seat backs with a central Buddhist Immortal, surrounded by symbols of the Eight Auspicious Objects, including a pair of goldfish and the endless knots, in addition to prunus fruits, flowering urns, peonies and lotus. With a leiwen skirt, three-toed paw feet, and mythical beast masked knees, and upholstered iron red curtains. Unmarked. Approximate height 40", width 25.2", seat depth 18.25", seat to floor 21.75".
