Japanese, likely late Meiji Period (1868-1912). A collection of three enamel cloisonne on porcelain articles, a method called Jitai Shippo, comprising one tree bark (totai shippo) cloisonne vase with allover rough texture mimicking tree bark punctuated by autumnal colored bird, leaves, butterflies, and fruit, unmarked; a bottle vase of squared form with flaring foot, the foot with underglaze cobalt blue hand painted waves surmounted by a matte cloisonne body in allover blue with green leaf clusters suspending gourds or pears, underside with blue underglaze and red overglaze marks; and an earthenware temple urn form jar with blue cloud shaped cartouches bearing a crane and chrysanthemum flowers reserved to a red ground with further floral decoration, with fitted porcelain lid of similar decoration, unmarked.
