Thom Wheeler (American, b. 1946). "Windblown Woman" - 1981, mixed metal and wood, signed and dated to front "Thom Wheeler 81'". Abstract figural sculpture depicting a female at bust length in profile with her face raised and very long hair trailing out to left as if blown by a gust of wind, the sculpture facade formed from copper, brass, and chrome segments riveted to wood in a mosaic pattern, the figure's eye in relief with lapis lazuli stone inset framed by sculptural eyelashes. Approximate height 15.25", width 42", depth 4.75".
