Italian, early to mid 20th century. A blue and yellow Majolica tureen, having a domed ovular lid decorated with knots, acanthus leaves, and flowers, with four applied scrolls with bellflower vine decoration and roped edging, and a central rectangular pediment with an acanthus flame handle, atop a conforming tureen base with allover scale decoration, with four c-scroll legs with bellflower vines and roped edging, the sides inset with serpentine form panels painted with mythological scenes and patterned borders, with a shaped apron with roped edging. Interior with Boissier retailer sticker. Approximate height 13.5", width 13.25", depth 11.25"
