Attributed to Ulisse Cantagalli (Italian, 1831-1901) of Cantagalli Factory (Italian, 1878-1985), early 20th century. A set of ten majolica faience dessert plates each circular with decorative molded edge decorated in shades of yellow, green and blue, each with naturalistic scene with single animal or fowl amidst rockwork and tall flowering stems. Signed on the back blue underglaze "Made in Italy" along with drawing of a cockerel. Approximate diameter 7.87".
