18th century having a serpentine front marble top over the conforming case inlaid to show ribbon-tied garlands, flowers and foliate scrolls, raised on splayed legs ending in sabots. Height 32 x width 43 1/2 x depth 23 inches. Property from the Estate of Ann T. Downey, Palm Beach, Florida Good, attractive, sturdy condition. Marble top intact but probably later, with the usual light scratches and edge chips at the back. Surface scratches and minor discolorations throughout consistent with age; minor veneer cracks in some areas. Tight age cracks in proper left and proper right sides; proper left sabot is loosened but present. Later French or other polish. Handles and pseudo lock plates are 20th century castings.
