each of baluster form with a pierced cover, modeled with applied flowers, fruit, and figures of putti, painted to show bouquets of flowers on a white ground with gilt highlights, the circular foot having a crossed swords mark in underglaze blue to the underside. Height 22 inches Property from the Collection of Sheldon and Carole Sepstead, Grafton, Wisconsin Each in decent, stable condition, bodies themselves appear intact. Both with scattered chipping to flowers from minor to moderate. One vase with two flowers detached but retained, the other with a stem and several flowers and petals detached but retained. First with apparent firing crack to inner upper rim under lid. The other with firing crack to the interior of the body near the bottom. Both vases fairly dirty.
