A dress design sketch for Natalie Wood by Howard Shoup. Pencil and gouache on artist board. The sketch is signed “Shoup” and marked “NAT.” In addition to the front of the dress is a pencil sketch of the design for the back of the dress. Shoup was a Hollywood costume designer who opened a couture boutique. Wood was a client, and he designed her wedding dresses for both of her marriages to Robert Wagner.
