Small Section of Yellow Pine "Ledge" from the Frigate USS Chesapeake , Provenance: Collected in Hampshire, England, from the "Chesapeake Mill," a structure erected soon after the 1813 capture off Boston and subsequent dismantling of the frigate USS Chesapeake . The mill was built from the ledges, beams, and carlings of the Chesapeake .
