Two Framed Items Depicting Women, America or England, late 18th/early 19th century, silk needlework picture titled, "Temperance," depicting a pastoral scene with a woman at a well pouring an ewer into a bowl, solidly stitched silk and chenille threads and hand-painted watercolor on a silk ground, in an eglomise oval malt, the second is an eglomise picture of mother and daughter sharing a book, signed D. Maker, both in giltwood frames, (paint losses), 9 5/8 x 11 5/8, 13 1/4 x 11 1/4 in., respectively.
