American, 1950s. Assembled set of 4 Mid Century Modern walnut open arm or lounge chairs, one manufactured by W.H. Gunlocke Chair Co, the other three by Jasper Furniture Company, all are covered in black leather with slightly curving rectangular back and arms raised on square tapered legs. All chairs are marked with metal tag "Property of University of Georgia". The Gunlocke chair retain original paper label under seat for W.H. Gunlocke Chair Co and measures in height 30.75", width 23" (arm to arm), seat depth 18", seat height 17.5". The Jasper chairs measures approximately height 32", width 22.25" (arm to arm), seat depth 18", seat height 16.5".
