Ludovici Lingery 1659, the top with turned center section containing a copper plate with Italian hours, fixed gnomon, the rim of the turning divided 0-90o x 4, the plate engraved at either end Parte del Sole W and Barte del Muro T, the corners engraved Da Mezzo giorno a Levante, Da Borea a Levante, Da Borea a porte and Da Mezzo giorno a porente, the bottom with a calendar volvelle and index of three equal and one longer arm, 4 3/4 in. square.
