Paint Decorated Slat Back Arm Chair, probably Connecticut, first half 18th century, the turned crest rail above three shaped splats flanked by ring-turned stiles with turned finials joined to the arms with projecting handholds continuing to ring-turned legs all joined by double stretchers, early split rush seat, with 19th century brown paint highlighted with yellow striping, surface wear, ht. 43 1/2, seat ht. 16 in.
