Federal Giltwood and Eglomise Mirror, Boston or Salem, Massachusetts, early 19th century, the outset entablature above the frieze with spherules and a black eglomise panel with a beaded surround centering a gold leaf wreath which encloses a lithographed portrait of George Washington, outlined with gold stars; flanked by quarter-engaged giltwood columns topped by neoclassical leaves and punctuated by giltwood floral bosses at the bottom, original tablet and mirror, (imperfections), ht. 37, outside wd. 18 3/4 in.
