French, Late 19th/ early 20th century. Serpentine bronze standish or desk set with inkwell with ornate champleve enamel decoration throughout in floral motif, inkwell with hinged lid at lower center of bird's eye maple veneered plateau. Corner of veneer stamped "FRANCE". Standish raised on three petite squat feet. Ladies writing set with mother of pearl handled Dunseath & Co., Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania quill nib engraved "Lizzie". Quill length approximately 7.25". Desk set approximate height 3.125", width 11.125", depth 9.75". Provenance: Property from the Braselton Estate, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
