Cope," with embossed brass frame and painted with fleur-de-lis motifs, the interior lid fitted with a leather and gilt embossed envelope, box interior fitted with several compartments, some silk-lined, some with embossed leather covers, lower drawer fitted with an inkwell, sander, and pen tray and a velvet-lined compartment, embossed brass escutcheon, drawer pull, handles, and feet, ht. 6 1/2, lg. 11 1/2, dp. 8 1/2 in.
