Three Silk Boudoir Doll Heads and Wax Lady Doll, c. 1920s, molded socket heads finished in silk crepe, painted features with theatrical flapper-style make-up, silk floss hair, two redheads, one with brown eyes, one with green with applied lashes, one a platinum blonde with green eyes (foxing on necks and into face), head ht. 7 in.; wax head lady doll, painted features (loss of eye color), silk floss wig, wax hands, body formed to waist, cardboard tube base forms candy container, green faille dress with black trim, black hat with feathers, bought in Paris in the 1940s, ht. 14 in. Provenance: From the Boston family which operated the Baxter Costume Company.
