Lawrence McCoy (American, b. 1888) Coes Pond , Worcester, Massachusetts Signed "Lawrence R. McCoy" l.r., identified on a label on the reverse. Gouache on board, 24 x 29 3/4 in. (60.8 x 75.5 cm), framed. Condition: Good. N.B. A Minnesota native, Lawrence McCoy lived and worked in Worcester, Massachusetts, and southern Vermont. His extensive exhibition record during the Forties and Fifties included most of the principle New England art associations, the National Academy of Design and at least ten solo museum shows. Examples of his work have entered the permanent collections of institutions including the Worcester Museum of Art, Springfield Museum of Fine Arts, and the Wadsworth Atheneum.
