Small Mochaware Covered Teapot, England, c. 1800, very rare mocha teapot and cover with black dendritic "trees" on a pale orange field bordered with bright blue bands, extruded handle with foliate terminals, (imperfections), ht. 4 in. Provenance: Purchased from Mr. & Mrs. Jerome Blum, 1985. Exhibitions: Colonial Williamsburg, 1993-94 and in the exhibition Dipped, Slipped, Turned & Wormed, at the Brandywine River Museum, Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, 1995.
