Brass Framed Hour Glass, probably Italy, 18th century, with hour rings at each end and one (of two) star pointer, shaped outer frame with foliate and anthemion decoration, sliding inner frame for protection, and thread-bound two-piece glass, ht. 4 1/2 in.Note: There is a portion of a letter in Italian used as padding at one end of the glass.
