Massachusetts William and Mary walnut veneer flat top high chest in two parts, ca. 1740 , the upper section now fitted with a set of walnut china steps, above a case with two short and three graduated long drawers, all inlaid with crotch walnut and outlined with herringbone crossbanding, the lower section with three small drawers above a deeply arcaded skirt, continuing to baluster and trumpet turned legs joined by a flat serpentine stretcher raised on ball feet, 62" h., 37" w. - without china stand.
