German, c. 1900. A Joseph Schachtel (Germany/ Charlottenbrunn, 1859-1920) hand painted porcelain center bowl or punch bowl decorated internally with grape leaves and red, purple, and green grapes, and a wide gold leaf band at top, and decorated externally with C scrolls, floral lattices, and grape clusters, with matte glazed area above the scrolled grape cartouches. Bowl sits on a raised white glaze foot with gilt border. Incised mark on bottom "J.S. Germany 4", painted mark above glaze on bottom "HTP 1900". Approximately 17" in diameter x 7.75" tall.
