Modern Italian Violin, Bisiach Workshop, Milan, 1937, labeled LEANDRO BISIACH DA MILANO, FECE L ANNO 1937 and signed, the two-piece back of strong broad curl, the ribs of medium curl, the scroll of strong narrow curl, the top of fine grain, the varnish of an orange-brown color, length of back 13 15/16 in. , 355 mm. Certificate: Leandro and Giacomo Bisiach, Milan, 1961, stating that the violin is the work of their father, made for the Grand Bicentenary Exposition of 1937 in honor of Antonio Stradivari in Cremona. Known as the "Cremona Bisiach", it was subsequently exhibited in a number of other cities.
