Carved Wooden Cake Board, early 19th century, rectangular board with relief-carved images within a lozenge including a soldier on horseback, an Indian, and an urn of flowers, surrounded by floral cornucopia and thistles, 15 5/8 x 25 5/8 in. Note: The cakeboard is accompanied by a black and white photo of the cakeboard and four pieces of correspondence with informal opinions as to where the cakeboard was made and the identification of the figures, each one different from the other.
