Red Painted Windsor High Chair, possibly New England, c. 1820, the arched, slightly concave crest on three turned spindles and splayed bamboo turned stiles and outward flaring arms on a shaped seat and splayed bamboo turned legs with footrest all joined by turned stretchers, old red paint with yellow pinstriping, the crest centering the date 1820, (minor imperfections), ht. 35, seat ht. 23 1/4 in.
