Chippendale Carved Walnut Armchair, Delaware River Valley, 18th century, the serpentine crest with beaded edge centers a carved shell over a vasiform splat and shaped arms with knuckled and "C" scrolled terminals above the scooped out arm supports and a slip seat with molded edge above similarly molded straight legs and stretchers with through tenons, old dark surface, (minor imperfections), ht. 41, seat ht. 16 1/2 in.
