Poplar with Walnut and Chestnut Inlaid Chest over Drawers, probably Chester County, Pennsylvania, c. 1830-40, the hinged molded top, which opens to a cavity with a molded lidded till, is line inlaid to conform to the top's rectangular shape and including ovolo corners which have inlaid acorns and flowers on stems; the central circular patera includes the same inlaid forms surrounded by line inlay; over the facade which is profusely inlaid with parrots, acorns and leaves interspersed with line inlay surrounded by herringbone inlay above two similarly inlaid drawers above a molded base on bracket feet, old brasses, refinished, (restoration), ht 27 3/8, wd. 41 1/2, dp. 20 3/4 in.
