Emerson, Ralph Waldo (1803-1882), Autograph letter signed, [undated], two pages, to Mr. T. M. Brewer, editor of the Boston Atlas, concerning the reprinting of a lecture that Emerson had given before the Mercantile Library Association, "...do not let the lecture itself be reported...It would be reprinted by good friends at Liverpool and Manchester and go straight to London - which would be a hateful thing to me...," (some smears and minor bleed through).
