Abraham Harriton (American, b. 1893) Encounter Signed "Harriton" l.r. Oil on canvas, 18 x 24 in. (45.6 x 61.2 cm), framed. Condition: Good. N.B. While a student at the National Academy of Design, Harriton studied under such noted artists as Emil Carlsen, Kenyon Cox, and George DeForest Brush. His work has been exhibited at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Museum of Modern Art, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
