European Silver-gilt Hardstone and Pearl-set Rococo Revival Trinket Box, likely Turkey, with French import mark, late 19th/early 20th century, shell shaped, hinged lid engraved with scrolled and lozenge patterned lobes, set with scrolls, and with central acanthus leaf with tendrils, mounted with crimped collet-set red and green cabochon and faceted hardstones, and with seed pearls, accented with a small putto figure, body accented with beading, and raised on leaf tip base, and single patera-topped scroll foot, lg. 3 1/2 in., approx. 6 troy oz.
